Every so often I come across a product that makes me question how I ever did my makeup without it. These products are so amazing that I can’t ever imagine using anything else  because they do their job so well. Cue Brow Wiz by Anastasia Beverly Hills. What did I even use to fill in my brows before Brow Wiz?? I have no idea and there’s no way I’m going back!

Last month Too Faced came out with a waterproof version of their wildly popular Better Than Sex mascara. The original version was a fan favorite but the formula just did not work with our eyelashes. Being Asian-American women, we struggle with most mascaras because we have such straight and sparse lashes. Waterproof formulas tend to last longer and hold a curl better than their non-waterproof counterparts, so we thought the Better Than Sex Waterproof would work best for us. Therefore, we both picked it up at the recent VIB sale and couldn’t wait to to test it out!

Price: $23

Size: 0.27 oz

Claims: “Now in a waterproof formula, Better Than Sex Waterproof mascara has a collagen-fueled formula with added high-performance and water-resistant polymers for waterproof, sweat-proof, play-proof wear. The hourglass-shaped brush was designed with extra stiff bristles to maximize the performance of this carbon black, collagen-fueled formula. One coat and lashes are full and defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats and you’ve achieved your most intense, voluminous, waterproof lashes possible.”

Made without: parabens, sulfates, phthalates

Where to purchase: Sephora, Ulta, or the Too Faced website

Picture this: two women with full workloads meeting on an early Sunday afternoon to blow off a little steam by enjoying brunch with a mimosa or two. Well, that’s exactly what Susan and I didn’t do this day. Instead, we decided to attend a beauty class offered by Sephora’s team of professionals to bring you all more information about contouring and highlighting techniques.

Contouring and highlighting are makeup techniques used to enhance face shapes, bone structures, and other features. These techniques create subtle illusions to bring forward your best features while hiding and tweaking the ones you want to cover up. It’s basically makeup plastic surgery.

This was our first Sephora Beauty Class so we were unsure of what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised!

Blue Hydrangea

There’s a lot to be excited for during the spring and summer; for me, it’s the rising temperatures. I can’t wait to shove my winter jackets deep within the recesses of my closet while dreaming of BBQ’s and picnics and not shivering whenever I step out of my house. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been loving the fall/winter beauty trends the past few years (repeat after me: dark, vampy lips and a strong brow). But I’m so ready for all the beauty trends the warmer months have to offer.

Check out some of the ones I’m really loving below!
