This month, we fell head over heels in love with a few items that have become staples in our beauty routine. We’re so excited to share our April favorites below!

Michelle’s April Favorites

April Beauty Favorites

  1. Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer ($27.50)
This has been a favorite of mine for a while now. I use it daily as a daytime moisturizer before applying make up. The lightweight gel formula smells amazing. It absorbs quickly into my skin leaving absolutely no residue and is the perfect canvas for makeup especially as we head into the warmer months! Find it at Sephora, Macy’s, or the Origins website.
  2. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed “Champagne Pop” ($38)
This is the most beautiful highlighter I own! The color is perfect on my medium olive skin but is also made to be universal for any skin tone. It is a pressed powder yet when applied it blends easily with the feeling of it being almost creamy. We love Jaclyn HIll and of course she would create the most perfect highlighter! You can find Champagne Pop exclusively at Sephora.
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss “Warm Bronze” ($16)
This lipgloss is the most opaque, non sticky, lip gloss I have ever tried! I love the vanilla scent and the intense dusty rose color of ‘Warm Bronze’ making it a perfect everyday office color. The best thing about this gloss is that it lasts a very long time with less color fading than most lip glosses. Find these lip glosses at Macys, Sephora, or the Anastasia Beverly Hills Website.
  4. Sephora Collection Bright Future Corrector “Yellow” ($14)
This is one of my absolute favorite products! I use it for highlighting down my nose, forehead, high points on cheeks, and as an added brightener over my orange under eye corrector and before undereye concealer. Since I have dark undereye circles this product really makes a huge difference in my concealing routine. The lightweight gel formula does not look cakey which is an absolute must for me when layering concealers. You can find this exclusively at Sephora.

Susan’s April Favorites

April Favorites

  1. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed “Champagne Pop” ($38)
Michelle and I both agreed that this is the most creamy, pigmented, and finely milled highlighter we have used. It was love at first swatch! Though it seems a little peachy in the pan, it actually transfers onto my light-medium olive skin as more of a white-gold shade.
  2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss “Candy Coral” ($16)
First off, I need to address the wonder that is this lip gloss formula. It’s pigmented, non-sticky, and long-wearing – it’s a triple threat! I get about 4-5 hours of glossy wear of this, but it dries down to a stain on me so it’s like I’m getting two products in one. Candy Coral is a pinky-orange shade that’s perfect for the spring and summer months. When first applied, it’s almost neon, but then it warms up on my lips and becomes a little more subtle.
  3. ColourPop Eyeshadow “I Heart This” ($5)
I’m really into one-shade eyeshadow looks so I’m always on the hunt for really beautiful, multi-dimensional eyeshadows that can be worn alone. I’m also a huge fan of ColourPop because they make good quality items at such a low cost. So when I heard of and saw swatches of ColourPop’s I Heart This eyeshadow, I purchased it without a second thought! It’s a cool-toned taupe shade with chunks of glitter weaved throughout the creamy formula. I pack it on with my fingers to get the most pigment and glitter possible on my lids!
  4. Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser ($30)
I received a deluxe sample of this cleanser as a points perk from Sephora last month. Then, I threw it in my ever-growing bin of samples and forgot about it for a few weeks because I already have so many opened cleansers to finish (yes, I admit I have a problem..!). However, one day I woke up and realized my skin was looking a little dull. So I dug this out again because it claims to have brightening, firming, and nourishing properties from the red tea, vitamin C, and borage seed oil in it. I’m usually very skeptical about cleanser skincare claims because it’s… just a cleanser! How much can it do in the 30 second time interval it’s actually on my face and not running down into the drain? Imagine my surprise when I actually noticed my skin looking a little more radiant just after the first use! It’s also amazing at getting rid of makeup and oils but still gentle and soothing enough to keep my skin feeling soft. I am definitely purchasing the full size version when I run out!
  5. The Original Tangle Teezer ($15)
Before the Tangle Teezer, I never brushed my hair. Brushing usually makes my hair staticky and causes me to experience a ton of hair breakage. I doubted the Tangle Teezer’s ability to remedy these issues, but this is the second time I was pleasantly surprised by a product this month! It painlessly removes tangles and I haven’t experienced any excessive hair breakage or loss brushing with this. It’s now a staple in my beauty routine!
